Where the Waters Meet Collection
The Story
There is something about the layers.
A small piece of Atlantic shell rests against stones gathered from Middle Island Creek. Its worn ridges and little hollows stand out against the smoother stone beneath it. Fine grains of J.Q. Dickinson salt settle between them, mostly hidden—a quiet connection to the ancient Iapetus Sea.
I brought these pieces together by hand, drawn to the way their different surfaces fit beside one another. In black and white, those details become the story: the curves, the weathered edges, the shadows held between each layer.
An ocean shell, Appalachian creek stones, and salt from a sea long gone. What the waters carried, gathered into one still moment.

In the unlikely event your artwork arrives damaged or with a production issue, please contact Becky Nichols promptly. When appropriate, a replacement of the same artwork, presentation, and size will be produced at no additional cost.
