Where the Waters Meet Collection
The Story
It was the spiral that caught my eye.
Inside a small fragment of Atlantic shell, a smooth curve turns inward. The outer edges are broken, but there is such grace in the shape they reveal. Resting on a stone from Middle Island Creek, its pale surface catches the light against the weathered stone beneath it.
I brought these pieces together by hand, drawn to the delicate curve of the shell and the way the stone holds it. Each detail has room to be noticed.
To me, this piece is a reminder that there is still beauty to discover in what remains. Sometimes, an opening lets us see the shape within.
