Sacred Soul Dùthchas is a hand-created remembrance of a person or animal who was deeply loved, a small place to hold something precious and honor the connection you continue to carry.
Each piece is commissioned to order. With meditative wood flute and drumming music filling the space and palo santo burning, I settle into a peaceful, intuitive process, allowing the arrangement to unfold with care and intention.
Natural elements from the Appalachian woods, creek stones from Middle Island Creek, and ancient salt sourced from beneath the Appalachian Mountains are gathered within the glass. Space is thoughtfully left for you to add ashes, a bit of fur, a piece of a horse’s mane or tail, or a keepsake that holds meaning for you.
Adding Your Ashes or Keepsake
Remove the cork and gently lift away the top layer of natural materials. You can sprinkle ashes into the space beneath or tuck your keepsake inside. If you need additional room, the central element, usually an acorn, can be removed to make space.
Once you have placed your ashes or keepsake inside, gently replace the top layer and secure the cork.

Once your Sacred Soul Dùthchas is complete, it is accompanied by an intuitive message received and written specifically for you.

At checkout, please use the Additional Note box to tell me whether your Sacred Soul Dùthchas is in memory of a person or an animal, their name, and your relationship to them. Please also share what you plan to place inside (ashes, fur, horse hair, keepsake, etc.), including the approximate size of any keepsake, so I can leave enough space.

Every Dùthchas is created with natural, organic materials that are carefully dried while otherwise remaining untreated. Their variations in color, texture, shape, and form are intrinsic to the work.
Over time, these natural elements may subtly settle, shift, soften in color, or change in texture. Rather than imperfections, these changes are part of the evolving character of the piece and its continuing relationship with the natural world from which it came.
Care
Dùthchas is a sculptural work of art and should be displayed with the same consideration given to other works created from natural materials.
Keep the vessel corked, upright, and indoors in a dry, stable environment. Protect it from direct sunlight, excessive heat, high humidity, and sudden changes in temperature. Avoid bathrooms, damp areas, and sunny windowsills.
Do not shake the vessel. Clean only the exterior with a soft, dry cloth and avoid moisture around the cork. Handle gently and keep out of reach of small children and pets.
Each glass vessel measures approximately 3½ inches tall. Because every Dùthchas is individually created from natural materials, its composition and appearance will vary.

Each Dùthchas is individually commissioned and includes a personalized intuitive message. Because of the custom nature of the work, all sales are final. Orders cannot be canceled, returned, or refunded once the creation process has begun.
Every piece is carefully packed by the artist for shipment. In the unlikely event your Dùthchas arrives damaged in transit, please contact Becky Nichols promptly so the issue can be addressed.
