Where the Waters Meet Collection
The Story
It brought a little of the beach with it.
I found this piece of driftwood along the shore, its surface full of hollows, thin ridges, and unexpected openings. Look closely, and you can still see sand tucked into the wood.
I placed it on a stone from Middle Island Creek that my husband, Jeff, brought me. A small sprig remained attached to the stone—a detail I left just as it was. A scattering of J.Q. Dickinson salt adds a connection to the ancient Iapetus Sea.
The wood rises from the stone like a small sculpture, with light catching its edges and shadows settling into its depths. Each piece carries something from where it has been. Brought together, those small traces become part of a new story.

This photograph is available in a limited edition of 25, shared across all sizes. Each fine art print is signed and numbered by Becky Nichols. Sizes through 30 × 45 inches are mounted on white styrene; the 40 × 60-inch print is mounted on double-weight mat board.
It is sold unframed so you may choose the framing and presentation that best suits your space. Shipping is included. Once all 25 prints have been acquired, the edition will be permanently retired.
