The Story
For 33 years, this chair has sat in the same place in the back of an old barn.
It never moved.
It was always there, but never really noticed.
I don’t know how many conversations happened around it, how many plans were made for the day ahead, or how many times someone simply sat for a while with their own thoughts.
Year after year, everything around it changed while the chair remained quietly in the shadows.
Today, the old barn has fallen into such disrepair that I could no longer stand in this same place and make this photograph again.
But the photograph remains.
A glimpse of something that was always there, quietly holding stories we may never know.
